Ever wonder if God will really keep His promises? Look at history: hundreds of prophecies about Jesus's first coming were fulfilled with stunning precision. Now Scripture tells us prophecies about His second coming outnumber those eight to one. If God was that reliable before, how much more can we trust what He's promised next?
Isaiah 2 paints an incredible picture—Jesus reigning from Jerusalem, nations streaming to learn from Him, weapons transformed into farming tools, and genuine peace covering the earth. But before that kingdom comes, there's a day of reckoning when everything we've built in pride will crumble, and only God will be exalted.
Here's the question: Do we actually live with this hope? When Jesus taught us to pray "Your kingdom come," He was asking us to long for His return. Are we praying for it? Meditating on it? Or are we so focused on today's battles that we've forgotten we're on the winning side?
God is a promise keeper. The same reliability that brought Jesus the first time guarantees He's coming back.
